IT Security King for a Day
Anyone remember Lee Iacocca? He was the son if Italian immigrants most notable for turning around Chrysler in the 1980′s. He rose to popular fame when he became the point spokesman on all Chrysler TV commercials and then later became even more famous when President Reagan appointed him to head the Statue of Liberty renovation and preservation program. Towards the mid 80′s, I remember an interview Iococca did where he was asked, “If you were king for a day in DC what would you do?” Remembering this and reading all the blog posts on IT security got me thinking – “What would you do if you were IT security king for a day at your company?”
Would you hire more people, buy new software or hardware, cancel certain practices and add new ones? In short – what would you line out, what would you retain and what would you add? Would there be room for innovation or would you stick only with the proven?
